Extremely advanced COCHLEAR Implant Surgery sponsored by CIIGMA Health Foundation concludes at United CIIGMA Hospital.
For the deaf and mute patients for whom, the traditional hearing aids are not helpful, the COCHLEAR implant surgery is a boon. Dr. Milind Kirtane, Mumbai and Dr. Ramesh Rohiwal performed the surgery. The responsibility of anesthesia in this surgery was taken by Dr. Balaji Azegaonkar, Dr.Sujata Zine, Dr. Ravi Kulkarni and his colleagues.
During this surgery, Dr. Swati Sonar of COCHLEAR and Audiologist Dr.Priya Bhale provided valuable support. United CIIGMA Hospital's Surgery Department got the surgical help from Seema Sister, Pankaj, Meenal Radke. Dr Unmesh Takalkar, Chief Medical Director of United CIIGMA Hospital and Dr. Ajay Rotte, CEO, worked hard for the success of this surgery. United CIIGMA Hospital is the first NABH-rated hospital in Marathwada region. Prior to this, organ transplantation has also been implemented at United CIIGMA Hospital.
Dr. Ramesh Rohiwal said that that United CIIGMA Hospital is the only hospital to be registered for the ADIP scheme of the Central Government. Thus, free cochlear implant surgery can be done in the entire Marathwada for below poverty line patients.
With an awareness of social commitment, an independent help center has been set up at the United CIIGMA Hospital to provide maximum benefit of ADIP scheme.
